Is it painfoul to have a tattoo done?

Il tatuaggio è un'ago che fissa un colore
sotto alla tua pelle, mangiare un gelato,
grattarsi la schiena o guardare un film è
meno doloroso, se hai paura di questo
ci sono gli stikers removibili... basta un
poco di acqua. ;-)

Tattoo is a needle that fixes a colour
under your skin. Eating an ice cream,
scratching your back or watching a movie
is certainly less painful. If you are scared,
you should have a removable tattoo sticker.
You only need a bit of water for that! ;-)

How do I get ready for my tattoo/piercing?

E' normale prima di iniziare il tatuaggio
avere paura e sentirsi nervosi, l'importante
è essere convinti di quello che si sta 
facendo e sapere che il risultato finale
ti ripagherà di tutte le preoccupazioni.
Presentati all'appuntamento in buone
condizioni psicofisiche, attenti ai
digiuni in quanto frequente causa
di repentini abbassamenti di pressione.
Non bisogna assolutamente assumere
alcool o sostanze stupefacenti.
Se stai assumendo qualche medicinale,
consultati subito con il tuo tatuatore,
l'assunzione di alcune sostanze possono
pregiudicare la buona riuscita del
tatuaggio/piercing.

It's normal to feel worried and nervous
before having a tattoo done. You must
be convinced of what you are doing and
the final result will pay you back of all the
tensions. Go to the appointment in good
psychological and physical condition.
Be careful not to have an empty stomach
because it coul cause you rapid fall
blood pressure. 
You absolutely must not
take any alcohol or drugs before.
If you are taking some medicine, consult
your tattoo artist. 
Some substance can
jeopardise the good results of your
tattoo/piercing.

La cura del tatuaggio...

After care...

Sbendare il tatuaggio dopo tre ore e
lavare con acqua tiepida e sapone neutro.
Stendere un velo di vaselina bianca e
ripetere l'operazione tre volte al giorno
per due giorni e poi sostituire la vaselina
con una crema idratante fino a completa
guarigione.

Remove the bandage after 3 hours and
wash it with lukewarm water and soap.
Apply vaseline and repeat 3 times a day
for 2 days.
Substitute the vaseline with a moisturising
cream till complete healing.

Posso lavarmi?

Can I wash myself?

Assolutamente si! Soprattuto prima del
tatuaggio, l'acqua e il sapone fanno bene
al tatuaggio e al tatuatore! :o)

Absolutely yes! Especially before getting
tattooed! Water and soap are good for
both the tattoo and the tattoo artist! :o)

Prendere il sole?

Sunbathing

Evita di esporti al sole, senza adeguate
protezioni, per il primo mese successivo
al tatuaggio.

Do not sunbathe without protection,
especially during the first month since
the tattoo.

Condizioni mediche particolari...

Special healt condition

Con l'eccezione di emofilia, epilessia 
e di alcune malattie cardiache, non ci
sono controindicazioni al tatuaggio.
Se hai un qualche dubbio, consultati
con il tuo tatuatore.

AIDS e altre malattie...

AIDS and other blood related illnesses...

L'adeguata sterilizzazione, la responsabilità
legale ed etica dell'artista, eliminerà il
rischio di contaminazione da AIDS,
epatiti e altre malattie virali.
Tutto il materiale di consumo utilizzato
durante il tatuaggio (aghi, guanti,
portacolore, etc...) è monouso.
Gli altri strumenti vengono
accuratamente sterilizzati in autoclave.

and professional etichs eliminate the risk of
contracting AIDS, hepatitis and other blood
related illnesses. Every single tool used
during the tattoo is properly sterilised in
autoclave, while gloves, needles and ink
cups are only used once.

Si sconsiglia di farsi tatuare dopo il 6°
mese di gravidanza e per tutto il
successivo periodo dell'allattamento.
